WisePorter v1.7 Release Notes
What’s new in version 1.7 – a release that will please mainly the tech-savvy
WisePorter now supports MSSQL
Until now, WisePorter has been running primarily in cloud environments – most often in Azure, using PostgreSQL. However, many large customers run their applications on their own infrastructure (on-premise) and prefer a unified environment based on Microsoft SQL Server.
Starting with version 1.7, WisePorter fully supports MSSQL. That means you can now run the application not only on PostgreSQL or Oracle, but also on Microsoft SQL Server – opening the door to broader deployments in large enterprise environments.
Excel imports and exports – continuous improvement
In the previous release, we introduced a new generation of Excel-based imports and exports.
With version 1.7, we’re building on that – collecting user feedback and fine-tuning behaviors and usability details. The goal is to ensure that working with data is not only fast, but also stable and easy to navigate, even in large-scale scenarios.
User interface improvements
Display of category and product codes directly in the tree
The category tree is mainly used for quick navigation within your product structure.
But when it also serves as a link to other systems (e.g., eShop, ERP), it’s often important to see not only names, but also product codes.
These can now be shown directly in the tree – without opening the item detail.

Faster access to item detail
Previously, clicking an item opened a read-only preview first. This extra step has been removed – the item now opens directly in full detail.
Tooltips for aliases
An alias is an alternative label or code for a product, often used for a specific sales channel or system (e.g., eShop, ERP, marketplace…). Aliases can now have their own explanatory tooltip, which is especially useful when a product has multiple aliases and each one serves a different purpose.
